Our annual HEAnet National Conference took place on Thursday 19th November. This years’ event was special for two reasons: it was our 20th year of organising the conference and for the first time ever we decided to run it online, due to Covid-19.
The HEAnet National Conference is an annual event which brings together delegates from across the education and research sector, as well as industry and technology specialists. Since our first conference, we have seen our numbers grow and grow, new sponsors, exhibitors and delegates joining us. This gives us confidence that there is a need for such an event in our sector and we are delighted to say this year’s conference has been a great success.
- 456 delegates from 18 countries, including United Arab Emirates, South Africa and Japan
- 5 sponsors and 18 exhibitors
- 100 delegates provided feedback after the event
The conference was opened by our CEO, Kerrie Power and was followed by a fireside chat with Minister Simon Harris. The recording of their conversation can be viewed on HEAnet’s Instagram account.
Our National Conference 2021 is planned to take place in the Great Southern Hotel in Killarney on the 17th-19th November 2021 and planning for this event will begin in early 2021. Until then, we would like to thank all the sponsors, exhibitors, speakers and delegates. Without your contribution, this event would not have been a success.
