HEAnet Group Launches Gender Equality Plan 2025–2030
The HEAnet Group, encompassing HEAnet and EduCampus Services, is proud to launch its inaugural Gender Equality Plan (GEP) 2025–2030. This ambitious plan reaffirms our commitment to fostering a workplace culture that is diverse, inclusive, and equitable for all genders.
Guided by Horizon Europe requirements and the GÉANT Gender Equality Principles for NRENs, the plan outlines targeted actions to address gender imbalances and inclusivity within the organisation.
HEAnet CEO Ronan Byrne and EduCampus CEO Paddy Naughton stated, “The HEAnet Group is aware of its unique position within the education and research sector and its potential to influence gender equality and balance for the benefit of all. We are committed to doing what we can to move the dial towards more balanced gender representation in those areas currently lacking. We recognise that achieving balance for all genders will take time and requires intent and a keen willingness to act.”
At the HEAnet Group, we understand the importance of building and maintaining a culture that is free from discrimination and where everyone, regardless of gender, can maximise their potential. We have proactively developed policies and procedures that align with our equality and fairness ethos. The HEAnet Group GEP aims to further enhance our efforts towards greater gender equality by supporting the implementation of processes and action plans designed to reduce gender inequalities, combat stereotypes, and enhance gender diversity in the workplace.
The GEP will be monitored annually, with updates shared transparently on the HEAnet and EduCampus websites. Together, we aim to build a brighter, more inclusive future for the education and research sector in Ireland
