HEAnet, in partnership with Fox-IT, has announced the introduction of new Security Operations Centre (SOC) and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) services to support members of their client community.
The services deliver enhanced cyber security tools and resources to qualifying institutions and organisations. Following an open tender process, HEAnet has partnered with Fox-IT, global experts in cyber security and risk mitigation, as the Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) to rollout the new SOC & SIEM services.
With the core services for SOC & SIEM, HEAnet clients will have Managed Detection and Response services with real-time 24/7 security monitoring available, which will help to protect them from cyber threats and malicious activities.
Fox-IT started a similar service in The Netherlands two years ago, through a partnership with HEAnet’s Dutch counterpart, SURF. The experiences of that partnership have been leveraged in full to ensure that the Irish education and research sector will receive the latest high-quality cyber security services to increase cyber security for students and staff.
