Ireland’s first EOSC National Tripartite event was held on 28th September in Dublin, hosted by DFHERIS and organised by HEAnet with the support of NORF and the EOSC-Association.
Approximately 50 participants attended this in-person event where for the first time in Ireland, discussions with national stakeholders in Open Science and European stakeholders in the European Commission, the EOSC Steering Board and the EOSC-Association took place.
The event was attended by senior leaders at Research performing organisations, funders, leaders of SFI research centres and managers of research infrastructures of national and international scope, including ESFRI projects and ERICs.
The event was organised around two sessions. The opening session included introductory talks from representatives of DFHERIS, the European Commission, the EOSC-Association, the EOSC Steering Board, HEAnet and the National Open Research Forum (NORF). The second session was guided by two panels of national stakeholders for the development of Open Science on the subjects of “Research Infrastructures in Support of Open Science and FAIR data” and “Implementing Open Science Policies: Perspectives from Funders and Institutes.”
