2022 was another successful year for Research Engagement at HEAnet.
In 2021 our Research Engagement team focused primarily on raising awareness of services, opportunities for collaboration and funding available to researchers.
In 2022 our focus was to support researchers’ access to Research Infrastructure and project funding. 2022 also saw strategic initiatives such as the National Research Services and Infrastructure Forum (RESIN), the strategic engagement and alignment between NORF and EOSC through the national tripartite event and the follow-up establishment of the EOSC-Ireland group. Finally, several national collaborations have started, including the IRLDAT project: a pilot for a shared storage service for research, part of the implementation of the NORF action plan.
