Firmly established as one of the leading conferences for Ireland's education and research sector, the HEAnet Conference is taking place on the 09th – 11th March 2022 in the Great Southern Hotel, Killarney.

AWS Direct Connect
HEAnet introduced AWS Direct Connect as new service to allow clients to establish private connections to AWS using AWS Direct Connect. AWS Direct Connect private connections can be provided by HEAnet from an organisation’s on-premise infrastructure to Amazon’s AWS connection points in Dublin (Parkwest and Clonshaugh).

In January 2022, HEAnet joined Cyber Ireland Cluster as a member. This membership will enhance HEAnet’s knowledge and connections in the cyber security space in Ireland.

New eduroam usage graphs and statistics
The enhancement to our reporting platform was required to improve the reporting capacity. We aimed to present the information in an easy-to-understand form, to allow gathering of insights around footfall, successful authentications, failed authentications, peak times, and much more.
