Having operated in Ireland for more than 20 years, today TCS employs more than 1,500 people in the country.  The company built its first global delivery centre in Letterkenny, servicing local companies, and global firms with a presence in Ireland.  The state-of-the-art facility at Letterkenny also includes an innovation lab and centres of excellence in cybersecurity and cloud services.  As well as employing many local people, TCS also supports the community through many endeavours, including a donation of 120 laptops and office equipment to the Donegal Intercultural Platform and the Irish Red Cross to distribute to Ukrainian families.

TCS customers operate across multiple industries, including Education of course.  We provide the length and breadth of business and technology services and solutions.  We achieve this through our deep and broad skilled and experienced workforce, and through our practices and partnerships.  We have dedicated technology practices that serve generic technology requirements such as networking and integration, and we have dedicated practices to support many applications and technology product partners such as Microsoft, AWS, Google, Oracle, Salesforce and many more.  Although TCS has Education customers dating back many years, we did not have concerted focus on the industry.  However, that changed in 2020 when TCS created a dedicated global Education Business Unit.  This unit has been growing fast so that we can better support and deliver what you need with Education industry expertise and devoted resources.  Furthermore, TCS has been building our own products and solutions, specifically for Education, since about 2010.

Education is very much at the heart of the Tata Group and TCS.  Tata Sons, the principal holding company of Tata Group, put 66% of their equity into philanthropic trusts, supporting: education, health, and other great causes.  Tata founded and continues to support five education and research institutions.  TCS has multiple research centres and a co-innovation network with 181 institution partnerships.  We run extensive internship programmes, competitions, hackathons, and so on.
