In late 2022 HEAnet went to market for a managed SOC & SIEM solution, with funding to be provided for eligible institutions by the Department of Education. The first clients, including Maynooth University, were onboarded to the service in early 2023 and the pipeline for client onboardings has been confirmed for well into 2024.

This session will briefly outline the history and current status of the programme, but will focus on the lessons learned during onboarding and during the first months of operational service, with presentations and a follow-up panel discussion and Q&A.
