In 2012 an award winning bespoke 'Green Data Centre' was designed and built on the Trinity College Dublin Campus by Future-tech. Approaching its notional 'half-life' and in an era of Climate Change & Sustainability, Cathal is reviewing the current use of the Data Centre with a view to seeing what further optimisations can be made.

Of particular interest is energy efficiency and the feasibility or otherwise of using renewable energy technologies to partly meet the power consumption demands of the Data Centre.
